October 6, 2010 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEL!

Mel, my blog title is for you! Happy happy birthday!

Had one of my favorite waffles for breakfast. It's small lang and it comes in a pack of 10 for only 1.79 euros! Got it from Norma (the grocery). Yummy! Washed the dishes then left with Panj and Butch at around 1:30.

We went to a Greek restaurant so Butch could eat. They gave us three free welcome shots! It was way too early for me to drink and I had only a waffle in my tummy, and let's face it, I'm not the drinking type anyway, haha. So I gave my shot to Panj. After Butch finished his food, the waiter again brought us three shots! Grabe! So by the time we left the restaurant, Panj was half tipsy na. Haha. She had three shots, Butch had two.

We went to school and fixed stuff at the International office again. We met with Jeanette, my tutor whom I absolutely love! She's so pretty and so nice! She really lights up the whole room with her presence! The three of us love her. She went with us to this other room to meet with the insurance person. We signed the AOK insurance papers then left school.

We took a bus to West Park! It was our first time to go there. It's a mall in Ingolstadt. I'm surprised they even had one. I'm so used to just streets with lots of stores in it, which is what I prefer more actually. But since we had nothing to do, we decided to go check the place out.

I needed to buy adaptors though and Butch needed to buy a phone so he and I went to Saturn first, it's this huge electronics store.

We passed by this big store first though. I thought it was like a skating rink thing and I got excited but no. Haha. We entered and it was this huge store full of home stuff--furniture, kitchenware, towels, curtains, etc. We looked around quickly but decided to just come back later with Panj cause for sure she'd take long there. Haha.

After Saturn, we met with Panj. Looked around the stores for a bit. I got hungry so I bought kebap.

TURKEY HAM. SO SO GOOD, I PROMISE! And for just 3 euros! Not bad since it was heavenly.
We went back to Roller and I got a couple of essentials. I got these slippers for maybe a euro? I was in dire need of slippers cause I wasn't able to bring any from the Philippines. And look! I'm actually a Medium!

I also got a bathroom rug for 2.99 (or 3.99?) cause the tiles get really cold and it's such a hassle after I shower. (Mom, I'm justifying all my expenses, haha!) Then I got a pan (5.99?), one tiny fork (.49), one tiny spoon (.59), and that cooking thing (.99).

I was also supposed to get a comforter but the one on sale and the right size wasn't available anymore. We walked to the bus stop with all of our new things (I was carrying my pan lang and slippers and stuff cause they don't give plastic bags, haha.) and then saw the bus when we were like 1 minute away from the stop. They're very prompt here and they follow schedules talaga so we watched the bus leave while we were across the street!!! We checked the scheds and the next one was coming in 30 MINUTES! Haha. Bad luck. So we waited at the bus stop.

Finally on the bus! Here's Panj with her pillow that she also used as a plastic bag for everything else. Haha. She had a blanket too cause it was cold!

We dropped our stuff off at our apartments and then went over to Butch's to help him rearrange his apartment. In Panj and I's, the bed is on the left and the desk on the right. It's the opposite in Butch's. Panj and I have a much more spacious arrangement so Butch wanted to change his.

Moving his desk to the other side!

I helped him put up his new curtains too! Finally, we were able to find cheap ones. Everywhere else we searched they were just too expensive!

It was a good and tiring day! Watched How I Met your Mother afterwards then slept. :)
