September 21, 2010 - Touchdown!

Finally landed!

"WE'RE IN MUNICH!!!"

We were the last to get our luggage, we were so bagal cause we each went to the bathroom pa, etc. By the time we got our luggage, the place was deserted na. Haha. Germans are fast! We worked as a team in getting the luggage, especially cause Butch's hand injury hasn't completely healed.

Cool escalator

The Munich airport was pretty and once we had our luggage, we didn't really know where to go. We were just following signs and asked information where the bus stop was. We had to take the Ingolstadter Express from Munich to Ingolstadt.

This is where one of the exits of the airport lead to. Super amazing big space that's super cold!

We got so aliw with the cold cause each time we'd talk, there'd be fog coming out of our mouths! Haha. And it felt great to be out in the air and not in an airplane anymore.

All our luggage

Waiting at the bus stop --

--for the Ingolstadter Express

The bus ride was around an hour to an hour and thirty minutes. All three of us fell asleep in the bus. It brought us to the ZOB.

INGOLSTADT!

The ZOB (Central Bus Station)

We waited for my tutor, Jeanette, here. Our school provides tutors for each of its international students. We were hoping and praying that Jeanette had a car cause we had loads and loads of stuff. But then I got a call from the Intl Office and the girl told me my tutor would be picking us up in a...BICYCLE. HAHA.

We didn't know how to contact her so we just waited at the bus station. After a few minutes, we saw a girl walking with her bicycle looking for people. So I went up to her and asked her if she was my tutor. And she was! She's adorable! And really pretty and nice. She told us we had to take another bus to school (our youth hostel was just behind it so same thing) but then the bus stop was on the corner of the other street. We had to drag ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE. This was soooo hard. Dragging 42 kilos and carrying a laptop bag and another bag on COBBLESTONE is not easy.

We got off at the bus stop across school but then had to walk another block or so to the youth hostel. Again, with all our luggage. Death. My hands were super painful and red na. We finally got to check in! Our room was big and we were so happy to know that we wouldn't have to share pa with strangers since they had vacancies that day. We left our stuff then walked to school which is about 2 minutes away.

Seeing the new building of our school for the first time

We went to the International Office and met Sabine, the girl in charge who's been helping us out so much. She was really nice and spoke English really well! She sounded American actually. After that, Jeanette took us around Ingolstadt!

With Jeanette, my tutor. I wish I had a better photo. She's gorgeous!

The start of the city center where most of the shops and restaurants are

Our first meal

Yummy pasta

Prosciutto and cheese

The restaurant we ate at. The waitress had an American accent so we were guessing she was American. She was super nice and super friendly!

In front of the new building of our school (The older one is being fixed so didn't take a picture of it na). Looks like SOM noh?

Our youth hostel! Love this place. It was our first home here. :)

In our room which was really big and spacious for just us three

The dining area in our room which had a bathroom with a shower and sink but no toilet! Haha. The toilets were right by our room, outside, though.

We all took a nap at around 4 or 5 pm. We planned to have dinner out that night but then...we all overslept. Haha. On to the next day!
