The three of us had lunch at a small Chinese restaurant. I had pancit--my favorite. But sadly, they still don't make it as well as they do in the Chinese restaurants back home!
After, we took a look at our map and decided to go to the Residenzmuseum which we had read about and saw a tiny preview of in the map. We took the U (or S?) and got off at Odeonsplatz. When we got out of the station, we didn't really know where we were or where we were supposed to go so we just turned right where the thing pictured in the photo below was.
It was a really big space with this building on the right--
--and this area on the left
I love this place cause it looks like the perfect setting for a garden party! Hahaha. I love garden parties like the ones in old movies where all the ladies wore beautiful dresses and big hats!
I loved the flowers. It was like a sea of lilac flowers everywhere!
That yellow building behind me is Saint Cajetan's Church which we later entered
This was at the end of the big platz, although we weren't really certain what it was since we couldn't enter it.
On the other side of the compound that we entered was Saint Cajetan's Church. It looked alright from the outside. But inside...it was beautiful!
See?
Everything was white! It was gorgeous.
The ceilings
After saying a few prayers and taking some photos, we went back outside. It was pretty noisy cause there were lots of groups riding "group bicycles" like the one below! It looked super fun! But we were only three so it wouldn't work if we tried, haha. There was an even bigger one, as long as a car with a bar in the middle! And they were all drunk! And some were even dancing in the middle! And these people were all biking while sitting down on the bar stools! I wasn't able to take a photo though.
We kept on trying to look for the Residenzmuseum but couldn't find it. We had already given up and were about to leave when I saw a sign. We followed it and we got even more confused cause the arrows were so malabo. We passed through this place which we thought was it already but it wasn't.
We eventually found it! The residenzmuseum is where the royalty of Bavaria used to stay. Here's a little help:
This is the first room we entered; the Antiquarium
I took pictures of a lot of things, but mostly of the bedrooms cause it's what was most interesting. To me, at least. Haha.
I can imagine a king and a queen here!
This area was burned down and destroyed then put back together.
Niice!
Another bedroom of the princess, I think? The beds look rock hard and very uncomfortable.
Another bedroom
The music room
Their chapel
Another chapel; much smaller. It's just a room. But beautiful nonetheless.
This room is for their photos
Another bedroom
The Residenzmuseum was HUGE and it was really tiring touring the whole place. There were lots of "apartments" which is what they call the different rooms that make up the bedroom or quarters of the royalty. For one person, for example, there were like 5 or 6 rooms making up that one bedroom. Each room pretty much looked the same but supposedly had a different purpose.
It was nice though, seeing the place, cause I could super imagine the lives they lived before! I felt like I was transported into the movie Cassanova or Kate and Leopold or something.
When we got back to the apartment, we saw Larz and Denzel visiting from France! It's always nice to see familiar faces, especially when so far away from home. :) We invited them to go to Oktoberfest with us that night!
While Panj was making them kwento in Joyce's room, Butch and I in our room started dressing Butch up in all of Panjee's stuff. We were so bored and she had so much accessories and things lying around, Butch decided to have fun with them. I called Panj to go to our room quick for something important. When she saw Butch, this was her reaction:
HAHA
Imitation is the best form of flattery! Haha.
At Oktoberfest again with the France people!
Priceless photo
We shared a table with a guy named Benny who was super nice. His half-brother Aslan was there too and they were super cool. They had the table behind us too.
All of us!
This was the tent we stayed at
We stayed outside again though. Since the end of Oktoberfest season was nearing and since we got there pretty late in the evening na, the tents were even more full.
Us three :)
We made other friends, one of them's name is Marco. He was funny and entertaining but I didn't take photos anymore. We left Oktoberfest when it ended and when we got to the U station, it was super full!!! Everyone was on their way home too. We lost Panj on the way to the station. Haha.
This is the super long escalator down that was full of people
It was a good night! Goodbye Munich!
