Breakfast! I MISSED EGG!
Went to school and jugendeberge to pack our stuff (We left our big maletas there and only brought small bags when we traveled to the other cities) for Munich.
After packing, we went to school to fix our internet. It was such a long process getting wifi to work cause we had to download a program pa, etc. But it was well worth it. :) WENT ONLINE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN GERMANY! I got really emotional hearing from everybody and seeing all the messages everybody sent! I was crying in the school lobby, hahaha.
After, it was the usual bus ride to Hauptbanhof then DB train ride to MUNICH!!! We left our luggage in the train station at the locker place. We used a map to find our way to Oktoberfest but after a while gave up and just followed all the people dressed in the German national costumes. Everyone wears them here, especially since it's Oktoberfest. It's really cool to see how much culture they have here! No one's ashamed to wear it and everywhere you look, someone's wearing it!
Finally at Bavaria Ring where they celebrate Oktoberfest! The rides were all CRAZY! And the place was hugggeee full of so many people! I couldn't take much photos of the rides though since everything was against the light at that time of day.
Butch and I with the birthday girl!
One of the tents we entered. There were lots of big big tents, each one owned by a beer company. All tents were really full though! So we opted to stay outside where it was much colder, haha.
ONE LITER OF BEER EACH!
We look like underaged girls drinking beer
Proud Nins, Mel, Iya, and Ven? :) And Steffy?!
Butch's gift to Panj for her birthday
My meal!
On the way to get my food with Panj, this man came up to me and in a thick Italian accent said, "Excuse me. I loove you." HAHA! Everyone was so nice and pretty drunk in Oktoberfest. Think a huge theme park with drunk people everywhere. :))
With the friends we made from Holland! They were in the table next to ours.
Friends from Munich! Hahaha.
Hahaha
We made all kinds of friends, two of which we absolutely love! Cathy and Erin! Two best friends from New York. We went with them to other tents too.
That's Erin with these two people we met while walking. The guy on the floor is a hilarious German! I posted a video of him on Facebook. I'll see if I can post it here too. He gave Butch a long talk about how "Germans are open." So funny!
Butch and I with that guy, Cathy (in pink) and Erin (in stripes)!
At the other tent we stayed in
This is where we stayed most of the day
Towards the end of the night, the three of us all lost each other so that was a hassle. And lots of other stuff happened too but everything was all good at the end of the night. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PANJEE!
Oh yeah, forgot. So we went back to the station to get our bags then took the S and got off at Isartor. When we got down, Jeff was there to meet us!!!! He was super nice! He's one of the Ateneans studying in Munich. We only met him that night and he was so nice to have picked us up from the station! We got shocked! So we walked to their apartment which is about 5 minutes or less away. We saw the rest of the Munich people. We stayed at Jeff's apartment and he let us stay there for the rest of our nights in Munich. Thank you so much!!! The three of us shared a twin bed!
